Fog Installation

1971 Collaboration with Miles Varner
fog machine, floodlights, open (no roof) handball court
40’x 20’ x 18′
University of California, Santa Barbara

Artist’s note: “The court was filled with an intense purple fog. Viewer’s could enter the court. Visibility was almost zero though the light was intensely bright. From outside the purple cloud fog was visible for over a mile. This work was installed one year after protesters burnt down the Bank of America in Santa Barbara.”
