Maze

1974
2 x 4″ lumber, bent angle-iron
70’x 50’ x 6′
Vancouver Art Gallery, Canada

Artist’s note: A maze through which the viewer could wander. The 2 x 4″s created a horizontal field at railing height. The railings were supported mostly by the bent and attached angle irons. The concept was to create a “field experience”, a 3D equivalent to a “field” painting.
